The Effects of Text Structure on learners’ reading: A multimodal Perspective from eye-tracking

Eye-tracking

ABSTRACT

This study examines the effects of text structure on advanced English learners’ multimodal reading behavior. Three text conditions – a verbal text, a supplementary text, and a complementary text – were examined in terms of entry points, reading paths, and time spent on different areas of the text using eye-tracking technology.
